CHÂTEAU VOLTAIRE
PARIS , FRANCE
Hotel | from 500€ per night
Falling head over heels for Château Voltaire is practically unavoidable. Although the hotel is relatively knew, it has quickly established itself as a classic Parisian gem. If you're looking for a place that meets high standards without the grandeur of a palace or a the buzz of a trendy hotel, Château Voltaire is the perfect choice.
The place has actually gained notoriety for hosting private fashion parties, yet it manages to maintain an air of timelessness and unpretentiousness, accompanied by exceptional service that makes you feel like it has been welcoming guests for centuries. The location is perfectly central, just a stone's throw away from Musée du Louvre and the Opera Garnier, where you can practically hear the soprano's aria.
The charm of Château Voltaire lies in the small, thoughtful touches that truly make the difference. Every detail is carefully curated, and the rooms seamlessly blend comfort with elegance, with a twist that makes you question if things are as classic as they first appear (they're not).
During our visit, we had the chance to visit their penthouse, available also for special events, complete with a beautiful large private terrace.
Then there's Brasserie l’Emil, the hotel's restaurant, which creates an inviting ambiance with clever lighting that makes you feel cocooned. But a word of caution: their mousse au chocolat is served in an entire large bowl, old-school brasserie style. One of our standout experiences was their Sunday roast lunch, designed to be shared with loved ones. We celebrated Ines' cousin's birthday with good chicken and champagne, turning it into a truly memorable day.
Whether you're fortunate enough to book a stay at Château Voltaire or not, we highly recommend at least visiting Brasserie l’Emil for a taste of the captivating ambiance that makes this place truly special.
