Terra Dominicata is nestled in the Priorat County, a historic wine-producing region located in Catalonia, just a quick one hour drive from Barcelona. The vineyards are beautiful with mountains that look like the Grand Canyon, and it's surprisingly not crowded with tourists, which is quite surprising.

The heart of Terra Dominicata is an old monastery, lovingly restored and transformed into a luxurious complex. Our stay here was flawless in every way. If you needed anything, a simple WhatsApp message was all it took to have it promptly sorted out. The staff even shared some fantastic recommendations for local spots, including a restaurant that the hotel manager likened to "eating at your grandmother's." And, believe us, it lived up to the description. 'El Rebost d'Escaladei' offered a 20-euro menu per person that included starters, mains, desserts, and wine—all an absolute delight.

The landscape surrounding Terra Dominicata is completely breathtaking. At every turn, it felt like we had stepped into a scene from a movie . If you ask Nils, he will tell you it is like being in Lord of the Rings.

Adding to the charm, the property is also home to a great winery. We had the pleasure of indulging in a wine tasting and bringing back some bottles home. But what's even more remarkable is that, despite the hotel being fully booked, it never felt crowded. There's a sense of tranquility and space that allows you to unwind and savor every moment.

This place has left an indelible mark on us, and we can't wait to explore more of its beauty and charm.
